MD + Dietitian Guided GLP-1 Weight Loss Program

Our Comprehensive Weight Loss Program

Who is this program for?

  • People seeking medication-assisted weight management with professional medical oversight

  • Anyone who values frequent, proactive follow-up while medication doses are adjusted

  • Patients who want help managing side effects, protecting muscle, and building sustainable habits so results last

  • Individuals with a history of disordered eating who want thoughtful guidance to determine whether this approach is right for them

What Does the Program Include?

  • A detailed, one-on-one initial evaluation with our MD, Dr. Aron Schuftan (medical history, labs review, risk/benefit discussion, and individualized plan).
  • A structured 3-month ramp-up to find the best dose for you: weekly check-ins with your personal Registered Dietitian during the ramp period to monitor side effects, food intake, energy, and lean-mass preservation while the medication dose changes.
  • Monthly MD visits during ramp-up, then continued MD follow-up thereafter.
  • A dietitian’s support to navigate body image issues, work on your relationship with food, and deal with day-to-day living while taking GLP-1s.
  • Help coordinating insurance and prior-authorization — many plans cover GLP-1s in certain situations, but coverage varies; we’ll verify benefits for your plan and explain options.
  • Continued support depending on your needs, goals, and preferences — from regular monthly support to a less frequent schedule for maintenance.

A safer, more supported path to weight loss — with a team that stays with you every step of the way.

How Do GLP-1s Work?

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) medications were initially developed to treat type 2 diabetes. It wasn’t long before researchers and physicians noted that these medications also reduce appetite, making them an effective option for weight management.

GLP-1 medications support weight loss by working with the body’s natural processes to:

  • Regulate your appetite, making you feel full longer.

  • Slow digestion.

  • Improve insulin function.

GLP-1 medications are typically administered as a once-weekly injection using a small needle placed into fatty tissue, most commonly in the abdomen, thighs, arms, or upper buttocks. With proper guidance and a short adjustment period, many find that this becomes a manageable and routine part of their care plan.

Insurance coverage varies for GLP-1s, depending on the medication, indication, and your plan. We will check your coverage for you and pursue authorization when applicable.
