Many claim to be a nutritionist. But only a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) meets rigorous academic requirements with clinical training, holding a degree from an accredited university. Our RDNs stay informed of guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to provide our patients with expert nutrition counseling.

Moderate, modify, and make informed food decisions that work for your life and your body.
When you book an appointment, you’ll be asked to submit your insurance information. From there, you will hear back before your appointment on general coverage. While we can’t guarantee coverage (as it is always up to the insurance company), we can provide an estimate or idea of what may or may not be covered while working with your RD.
The first appointment focuses on assessing your nutritional status and lifestyle habits. Before we meet, you’ll complete forms that help us understand your nutrition, activity level, and eating patterns.
During the session, we’ll review your medical history, medications and supplements, weight and exercise history, food preferences, allergies or sensitivities, and meal and snack routines. We’ll also assess your food records to estimate calorie intake and evaluate macro- and micronutrient balance.
Every body is different. This visit helps clarify your goals and how we, as registered dietitians and Boston nutritionists, can best support your needs.
Follow-up visits are an important part of making progress and getting the most out of working with a registered dietitian. While there’s no required number of sessions, we typically recommend meeting every 1–2 weeks during the first three months. We understand this may not be possible for everyone, and that’s completely okay—treatment plans and timelines are always flexible and tailored to your needs.
One of the benefits of working with us is our team of qualified registered dietitians, each with their own specialties, approaches, and personalities. Nutrition is personal, and finding an RD you truly connect with matters. If at any point you don’t feel the right fit, just reach out—we’re happy to help match you with someone who feels like a better fit. Your comfort and connection are key to getting the most out of your care.
What can a dietitian nutritionist from our office provide that YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram can’t? Why not just Google the “best diet” for your needs—or even ask AI?
An RDN offers evidence-based care, personalized to your medical history, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. We don’t give generic advice or trends—we provide expert guidance, accountability, and clinical judgment that adapts as you do, helping you make safe, sustainable changes that actually work long term.
Your health and wellbeing are worth it.
